These fruits and veggies deserve a spot on your plate.

Bananas: These healthy, portable snacks contain an ideal combo of potassium and magnesium, a one-two punch that has been shown to lower risk for stroke.

Beets: Beets have many of the vitamins and minerals in spinach including folate and manganese. Beets also contain natural red pigments that may reduce cancer risk.

Cauliflower: A study from Harvard suggested that participants who had five servings of cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage cut their risk for bladder cancer in half.
