Putting fat such as ghee and coconut milk or cream into your coffee helps to metabolize the caffeine more slowly, keeping you from getting jittery and then crashing. It also assists in brain function and boosts energy. Enjoy the buzzzzzzz.
Makes about two 10-ounce mugs
2 cups freshly brewed coffee
1/2 cup full-fat canned coconut milk or grass-fed cream
2 heaping tablespoons raw cacao
2 tablespoons grass-fed ghee
- Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blend, starting on low and gradually increasing to high, for a total of about 30 seconds.
- Serve hot and frothy from the blender.
Tip: This coffee is wonderful as is, but it’s also delicious served with about 1/2 tablespoon of honey, maple syrup, or your favorite unprocessed sweetener.
