UV rays can penetrate the cloud cover and burn your skin. You still need to slather on the broad-spectrum SPF even if you can’t see the sun. “Cloudy days can result in some of the worst sunburns, since people forget to put on sun block since they can’t see the sun,” says dermatologist Dr. Rebecca Braxt. “So wear your sun block rain or shine and bring some along for reapplication.”
