Apples, peaches and nectarines may be even healthier than originally thought, according to a British study recently published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Researchers say the colorful snacks contain up to five times more antioxidants than scientists suspected—meaning the fruit will help protect your cells from damage and could lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
