Does your mood need a tune-up? A large-scale study at the National University of Singapore found that music therapy can reduce depression symptoms. It doesn’t have to be a formal exercise, either. Simply listening to any of your favorite tunes can boost your mood by releasing happy hormones and interrupting a cycle of negative thoughts. The study found even sad songs can be music therapy if that’s what you like, but there are so many uplifting tunes on the radio these days that we couldn’t resist compiling our own feel-good current hits playlist.
