Fresh Fruit Granita

Ingredients

1/2cup sugar
1/2cup water
4cups fresh juice (such as orange, tangerine or grapefruit)
1 to 2tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Dissolve sugar in water over medium heat. (You've just made a "simple syrup.") Let cool. Stir in juices. Pour into a shallow pan, cover and freeze at least 4 hours. Once frozen, scrape with a fork.
