If you’re looking for an indisputable workout challenge, we’ve got the DVD for you: “Exhale Core Fusion Bootcamp” with Elisabeth Halfpapp and Fred DeVito (Acacia). Three words can adequately sum up my first-time experience this morning: Oh. My. Gosh! I consider myself fairly fit. I walk quite a bit, I chase my three kids around, I hike, I do my Jillian Michaels “30 Day Shred” several days a week. But just to give you a general idea of the workout challenge you can expect from “Exhale Core Fusion Bootcamp,” I’ll just say it puts the “30 Day Shred” endurance challenge to shame, and yet I enjoyed every last minute of it. (Tomorrow? I may be a little too sore to appreciate it as much!)

The video, which features five 10-minute segments, focuses primarily on strength training and sculpting typical problem spots like abs and arms. Your legs and backside will also benefit, though, and you’ll enjoy a hearty calorie burn all the while. Be prepared though, because even the “low-key” versions of the moves demonstrated by the gal in the background will provide enough challenge to humble your perspective on your fitness capabilities. The saving grace? Fred and Elisabeth’s warm demeanor and serene tone will encourage you to muddle through and convince you, in case you’ve forgotten why you’re doing it to begin with, that it’s all most definitely worth it.

Core Fusion Bootcamp is available for $16.99 at acacialifestyle.com.
