Do You Need the HPV Vaccine?

Lisa Masterson, M.D., says women over 50 aren’t worried about getting pregnant, but they forget they still need to protect themselves from STDs. Right now the HPV vaccine is only recommended to those up to the age of 26. New studies on the vaccine could potentially extend the recommended age to 45 or 55 years old since STDs in elderly men and women are on the rise.
