Beginners’ walking tips:
Take your time. Easing into a new fitness regimen helps you create a good habit without taxing your body. That’s why experts recommend beginners start by walking only 15 minutes, four or five days a week.
Listen to your body. You actually get stronger during rest days, so if you feel aches and pains or more fatigue than usual, take an extra day off and tone down your workouts until you’re back up to speed. Getting plenty of sleep and eating well-balanced meals can also help your body recover.
Be patient. The first three weeks of any new workout plan are the most challenging. Stick with it, and soon you’ll wonder how you ever lived without exercise!
