Blackened Skirt Steak BLT Salad

Ingredients
- 1tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1teaspoon ground cumin
- 1teaspoon garlic powder
- 1teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2teaspoon salt
- 1/2teaspoon pepper
- 1pound skirt steak, trimmed
- 1teaspoon olive oil
- Salad
- 5ounces package spring mix
- 2medium tomatoes, chopped
- 4slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2cup thinly sliced red onion
- 3tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 3tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 2cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4teaspoon salt
- 1/4teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat broiler.
- For steak: Combine paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper in a small bowl. Brush steak with oil; sprinkle both sides with spice mixture. Place on a broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat for 8 to 10 minutes, turning once. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing thinly across the grain.
- For salad: Combine spring mix, tomatoes, bacon and onion in a large bowl. Combine vinegar, oil, mustard, garlic, ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper in a small bowl; whisk until well blended. Drizzle over salad mixture, and toss to coat.
- Top salad with steak before serving.
