Chianti Stewed Prunes with Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
- Yield: 6 servings
- -- 1 pound pitted prunes
- -- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- -- 2 cinnamon sticks
- -- 2 ½ cups Chianti
- -- Low-fat frozen vanilla yogurt
Combine the prunes, sugar, cinnamon sticks and red wine in a non-reactive pot.
Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer and cook until the liquid is syrupy.
Allow to cool somewhat, then serve warm over yogurt.
