Feta Cheese Spread

Ingredients

1/2pound feta cheese
-- Juice of 1/2 lemon
1tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
1/4teaspoon coarse salt
-- Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Place feta cheese in an ovenproof dish. Mix lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper and spread over cheese. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake 15 minutes. Serve hot, spreading the melted feta on crackers or whole-grain toast.
