Garlic Green Beans

Ingredients
- 1 1/2pounds fresh green beans, stem ends trimmed
- 2tablespoons olive oil
- 4-- garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1teaspoon sugar
- 1/2teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- -- Salt, to taste
Instructions

Wash beans well and drain in a colander. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick saute pan over medium heat. Add garlic to pan and saute until very light brown. Add green beans and allow water clinging to them to stop the browning process. Continue to saute, adding sugar and pepper flakes. Cook 5 minutes until just tender but al dente. Add salt and serve.
