Grilled Beef Steaks with Ancho Chili Rub

Ingredients
- 2-- beef round (sirloin) tip center steaks, cut 1-inch thick (about 8 ounces each)
- -- Salt and pepper
- Ancho Chili Rub:
- 1tablespoon ground ancho chili powder
- 3-- garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2teaspoons dried oregano leaves
- 1teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1teaspoon freshly grated orange peel
- 1/2teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine rub ingredients; press evenly onto beef steaks.
- Place steaks on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 11 to 13 minutes (over medium heat on preheated gas grill, covered, 13 to 15 minutes) for medium rare (145F) doneness, turning once; do not overcook. Season with salt and pepper, as desired.
