Sage Chicken Burgers

Ingredients

1pound ground chicken
1/2teaspoon rubbed sage
1/2teaspoon season all seasoned salt
1/2teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/4teaspoon pepper
1/4teaspoon salt
1-- egg, beaten
1/2cup crushed butter flavored crackers
1tablespoon milk
-- Saucy sauce, recipe below
6slices American cheese
6-- fresh hamburger buns
Saucy Sauce
1/2cup water
1/2cup ketch up
4tablespoons brown sugar
2tablespoons soy sauce
2tablespoons red wine vinegar

Instructions

In a medium bowl combine chicken, sage, season salt, parsley flakes, pepper and salt. Mix in egg, crackers, and milk. Mix well. Form into 6 patties. Mixture will be sticky. Place into a medium skillet, coated with cooking spray. Cook over medium heat until lightly brown, 5-8 minutes. Prepare sauce, recipe below, pour prepared sauce over chicken, cook over medium heat until sauce has thickened and chicken is done, 10-15 minutes. Serve plain or on buns with American cheese.

Combine and mix well, pour over chicken when , cook till thickened and chicken is done.

Makes 6 patties.

Note:
This also makes great chicken balls. Form into 1 inch balls, cook 5-8 minutes, or until lightly brown, add sauce and continue cooking until done, 10-15 minutes.
Approximately 20 balls, depending on size.
