Strawberry and Kiwi Mixed Green Salad with Poppy-Sesame Dressing

  • Yield: 6 to 8 servings


8cups mixed greens (Bibb, red leaf, spinach)
1pint strawberries, sliced
3-- kiwis, peeled and sliced
1/3cup sugar
1tablespoon poppy seeds
1tablespoon sesame seeds
1tablespoon minced onion
1/3cup cane or raspberry vinegar
1/4cup balsamic vinegar
2tablespoons olive oil


  1. In a large bowl, mix together the greens, strawberries and kiwi.  In a small bowl combine the sugar, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, onion, cane vinegar, balsamic vinegar and olive oil.  Refrigerate dressing until ready to use.  When ready to toss salad, add dressing gradually and serve immediately.
