Turnip Fries

1 1/2pounds turnips
2tablespoons light olive oil
4cloves garlic, minced
1/2cup grated Parmesan cheese
1teaspoon sweet paprika
1teaspoon garlic salt
1teaspoon onion salt


  1. Heat oven to 425°F.
  2. Cut turnips into 2x½-inch sticks. Place on a foil-lined jelly-roll pan. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt and chili powder. Toss with your hands to coat. Spread out in a single layer.
  3. Roast fries 30 minutes, turning halfway through cooking time for even browning. Serve immediately.
